A major Newquay road has reopened after roadworks to install a new signalised junction overran.
The A392 between Trevemper and the Morrisons roundabout remained closed throughout the weekend after Cornwall Council revealed on Friday there was a "slight technical issue" with the commissioning of the new traffic lights.
The project is part of the Trevithick Manor Farm housing development. The closure, which began in September, was to create a new junction with traffic signals and pedestrian crossings on the A392.
Council-owned contractor, Cormac, said the work involved realigning the carriageway, installing new drainage systems and utilities, constructing kerbing, installing traffic signals and street lighting, followed by final resurfacing and road marking.
