A Nansledan author is preparing to launch a new children's book inspired by Cornwall's landscapes, history and community spirit.
Matt Gainey's latest book, Lostwithiel Hen and Friends: A Children's Treasury of Cornish Adventures, follows the adventures of Lostwithiel Hen and her friends as they explore Cornwall through a series of stories aimed at young readers and families.
The collection has been designed to encourage imagination and a love of reading while celebrating the county's unique character and heritage.
The official launch will take place at The Mason Jar Coffee House in Nansledan on Saturday 27 June between 11am - 2pm
Members of the community are being invited to attend the family-friendly event, meet the author and find out more about the inspiration behind the book.
The launch is open to all and will provide an opportunity for readers of all ages to celebrate the publication of the new book.
