Police have revealed that a damaged gas main at a property was the cause of several road closures in Newquay.
Berry Road, along with neighbouring streets, was closed on Wednesday lunchtime and reopened around 3 o'clock.
In a statement, police said: "Work to make safe a gas main, which had been cut in a property on Berry Road, has been successful."
"All road closures linked to this incident have now been lifted."
The closures caused queuing traffic on East Street, Cliff Road, Edgcumbe Avenue, and Hilgrove Road.
