Organisers of next month's Run to the Sun event have announced that it will no longer go ahead, citing rising costs and a cautious audience impacting ticket sales.
The event was due to take place on the 23rd-26th of May at Nanskival, St Mawgan.
In a statement posted on social media, organisers said the decision to cancel RTTS 25 had "not been made lightly" and described it as "a heavy heart" moment for the team.
"Bringing RTTS back to Cornwall has been a labour of love, rooted in our commitment to celebrate cars and community," they said. "However, we find ourselves navigating challenging times in the event industry."
They added that they did not feel they could meet the expectations of the community this year and confirmed all tickets will be rolled over to RTTS 26, with refunds available on request. Details about how to apply for a refund will be shared next Tuesday.
Organisers said they were "truly saddened" not to be gathering this year but reassured supporters that this is "not the end of the road" for the event.
