Second person dies following crash near Cornwall Airport Newquay

A second person has died following a two-vehicle collision near Cornwall Airport Newquay.

Devon and Cornwall Police said they had been notified by the Coroner's Office that the passenger in a Kia Picanto, a 75-year-old woman, died in hospital on Thursday.

The collision happened at Carnanton at around 1.45pm on Monday 13 July and involved a Kia Picanto and a Peugeot 208.

The driver of the Kia, a man in his 70s from Wadebridge, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The woman and the female driver of the Peugeot were both taken to hospital following the crash.

Officers are appealing for witnesses or anyone with relevant dash-cam footage from the area at the time of the crash.
