Two men have died following a collision between a van and a motorcycle.

Devon and Cornwall Police said officers were called at around 10.50pm on Monday 20 July to reports of a crash involving a black Citroen Dispatch van and a red Yamaha R1 motorcycle.

The collision happened at the junction of the B3288 and an unnamed road between Zelah and Shortlanesend.

The motorcyclist and the van driver both sustained fatal injuries and were pronounced dead at the scene.

Police said the rider was a man in his 40s from the Penzance area, while the van driver, also in his 40s, was from East Yorkshire.

An investigation is under way to establish the cause of the collision.

Roads Policing officers have thanked members of the public for their patience while the road remained closed following the incident.

Anyone who witnessed the collision, or has dashcam footage or other information which could assist the investigation, is asked to contact Devon and Cornwall Police via its website or by calling 101, quoting log 1017 of 20 July 2026.
