UK Surf & Skate Expo to return with bigger line-up in Newquay

The UK Surf & Skate Expo is set to return to Newquay this weekend with an expanded programme of talks, films, exhibitions and industry events.

Organisers say this year's event will be significantly larger than the inaugural Expo, with more than 65 exhibitors, new attractions and an increased programme of guest speakers from across the surf, skate and outdoor industries.

Among the new additions for 2026 is the European Surf Film Festival, which will showcase surf films from across Europe and beyond, hosted by surf personality Wingnut.

A new Wind & Foil Show will also feature demonstrations and the latest equipment from leading brands, while the Out Of Office Conference will bring together marketing and business leaders for a one-day networking event ahead of the Expo.

The event will also incorporate the Rising Tide Festival, focusing on sustainability and environmental issues.

Visitors can hear from athletes, explorers, filmmakers and industry figures across two stages, including keynote appearances from weird wave specialist Dylan Graves, surf explorer Tim Latte and big wave surfer Laura Crane.

Travelling photographer Sam Sherring is among those appearing on the XTRATUF Tales From The Frontier stage, sharing stories from his career and adventures.

The Expo will also host the Wavelength UK Surfer Awards, celebrating the country's leading surfers, with public voting currently open.

Chris Thomson, organiser of the UK Surf & Skate Expo, said last year's event proved there was strong demand.

"We had a very successful year last year," he said.

"They say the first year is one of the trickiest as it's an event that hasn't been done before.

"With more than 65 exhibitors, dozens of international speakers and 10,000 people through the door, I think we proved the concept worked.

"This year, we want to go bigger and bolder – creating a space where brands can connect, athletes can meet and members of the public can interact with their heroes or brands they've followed for a long time."

Last year's event featured a talk from Dogtown and Z-Boys skateboarding legend Tony Alva, who also visited Newquay's Concrete Waves skatepark.

The Expo Village will be free to enter with a pass, while tickets are required for talks, films and other indoor events.
