Louis Price scored a late winner to keep Newquay on top of the South West Peninsula Premier West after a 2-1 home win against Camelford.
Coen Briggs opened the scoring, but the Camels equalized before Price sealed the victory with a crucial goal, ensuring the Peppermints remain top of the table.
In the St Piran League, St Newlyn East failed to win a Division One East match for the first time this season, drawing 2-2 at Boscastle. Meanwhile, Newquay Reserves were beaten 2-1 at St Stephen.
Elsewhere, Goonhavern Athletic, Newquay Thirds, St Erme, Godolphin, and St Mawgan Reserves all advanced in the Cornwall Junior Cup. However, Indian Queens were eliminated after a 7-0 defeat at Tregony.
In rugby, Newquay Hornets made it three wins in four with a 31-24 victory at Hayle. Jarred Williams led with two tries, joined by Mitch Brownlow, Jordan Scotland, and Rhys Bowery on the scoresheet, while Tom Mee kicked three conversions.
Perranporth also triumphed, defeating Bodmin 76-10, maintaining their one-position lead over Newquay in the Counties Two standings. The Brewers sit fourth, with the Hornets just behind in fifth.
Newquay racer Tommy Foster heads into the final round of the Le Mans Cup with a slim chance of winning the championship after finishing seventh at Mugello, Italy.
Foster and the High Class Racing team are third in the standings, trailing Race GP and Cool Racing. The season finale will take place at Portugal’s Portimao track on October 19.
