A new community shower has been launched in Newquay to support people who may struggle to access washing facilities.
The shower is based at The Oasis centre from Newquay Methodist Church on Pargolla Road, and forms part of a Changing Spaces toilet facility.
The service is available to people experiencing homelessness, as well as others who may find it difficult to use their own bathroom facilities.
Specific drop-in sessions have been arranged throughout June, with users able to access the shower, toiletries and refreshments.
Methodist Minister Clare Anderson said the aim was to provide a welcoming space where people could feel refreshed and respected.
She said: "A drop-in for anyone who is in particular homeless, come and access our space, have a shower, feel refreshed, have a cup of tea.
"We've got lots of lovely toiletries that have been donated and we want to welcome people, make them feel that they can have that really good wash and feel clean and respected.
"The shower is also available for anyone who is suffering with things that mean that perhaps they can't access their own bathroom space.
"For example, elderly people who are struggling getting up and down the stairs, it's all level access, and people can come and use that space."
The Oasis says the availability of the shower will be reviewed on a month-by-month basis, with updates provided through its website and social media channels.
Sessions are scheduled throughout June.
