Major improvement works are getting under way at Newquay Health Centre today, with the surgery's car park closing as part of a resurfacing project.
The work is expected to affect parking arrangements at the St Thomas Road site throughout June.
The surgery says there will be no parking available for able-bodied patients during the works. Limited Blue Badge parking will remain available until 21 June, after which there will be no parking on site until the project is completed on 26 June.
A spokesperson for the surgery said: "We are keen to make sure patients know to make other plans and will need time for this and are considerate of the neighbouring ambulance station and our urgent ambulance and Blue Badge parking."
The resurfacing project follows a programme of internal improvements at the health centre.
The work was carried out after plans to bring both of Newquay's GP practices together under one roof were abandoned.
As part of the project, the former medical records storage area in the roof space was converted into office accommodation, allowing administrative staff to relocate from downstairs.
The changes created four additional consulting rooms within the health centre.
Patients are being advised to plan ahead and allow extra time when attending appointments during the car park closure.
