Newquay's first team cricketers suffered a narrow defeat against Paul, while St Newlyn East enjoyed success in both cricket and football and Newquay AFC's women and veterans teams added silverware to the club's trophy cabinet.
Newquay Cricket Club's first team fell agonisingly short in a closely fought County Division One encounter against Paul on Saturday, losing by just ten runs.
Chasing a target of 196, Newquay finished on 186 for nine despite a composed innings of 61 from Adam Jenkin. Jack Howarth added 35, but regular wickets throughout the chase ultimately proved costly.
Newquay's second team also suffered defeat, going down by seven wickets to Wadebridge thirds after posting 185 for nine.
The club's third team were beaten by eight wickets away to Bugle. Newquay were bowled out for 137 before the hosts comfortably reached their target.
There was better news for the fourth team, who were awarded full points after Ladock conceded the fixture.
Meanwhile, St Newlyn East recorded an emphatic 106-run victory over Paul seconds.
After being asked to bat, St Newlyn East posted 216 for nine, with Bill Murgatroyd leading the way with an unbeaten 71.
Paul were then dismissed for 109 in reply. Kevin Gibbard claimed four wickets, while Duncan Delreeve took three as the visitors secured a comprehensive win.
In football, St Newlyn East rounded off their season with a 4-1 victory away at St Dominick.
The match marked the final game in charge for long-serving manager Martin Grigg, who is stepping down after dedicating nearly 30 years to the club.
Elsewhere, Newquay AFC Veterans sealed their league title in style with a 9-1 victory over Kernow Wanderers, completing an unbeaten campaign.
The success came just days after Newquay AFC Women lifted the League Cup, defeating Kilkhampton 3-1 in the final to add further silverware to the club's collection.
