The country's top young surfers are set to compete at Fistral Beach in Newquay this weekend after Surfing England confirmed the second part of its 2026 English National Surfing Championships will go ahead.
The competition will feature the Under-18 Boys and Girls and Under-16 Boys and Girls divisions, with organisers expecting some of the country's best young athletes to take to the water.
The event was originally due to be completed in April, but organisers cut the competition short after a low-pressure system generated large swells along the south-west coast.
Surfing England said conditions for Saturday were looking favourable, with a four-foot swell forecast along with light winds and sunshine.
Organisers said the conditions should provide clean waves and an ideal stage for competitors to battle for national titles.
A spokesperson said: "We're expecting big performances, heavy waves, and an incredible display of talent as the country's best athletes rise to the occasion."
Spectators are being encouraged to head to Fistral Beach to watch the action, with organisers anticipating an early start and describing the event as a showcase of English surfing at its highest level.
