Up the Mints: Newquay AFC has made history, securing promotion to the Western Football League after a thrilling 5-0 victory over Wendron United at Mount Wise Stadium on Thursday night.
The win saw the Peppermints crowned champions of the South West Peninsula Premier League West division - marking a huge milestone for the club and its supporters.
The decisive promotion clash drew a record crowd of more than 1,800 people, far exceeding early estimates of 1,000. Among them were over 300 groundhoppers, visiting as part of the Ground Hop UK movement, adding to the electric atmosphere..
With promotion secured, Newquay AFC will now compete in Step 5 football from next season - ushering in an exciting new chapter for the club.
