St Francis Dogs Home appeals for foster or forever home for Nala

St Francis Dogs Home, based at Trevelgue near Porth, says Nala has been patiently waiting for someone to give her a second chance and believes she would thrive in a calm, understanding home.

Although she can be reserved when meeting new people, staff say she quickly forms strong bonds once trust has been established and is an affectionate, loyal companion. She enjoys cuddles, playtime and exploring Cornwall's beaches, countryside and woodland with people she knows.

Like many rescue dogs, Nala has faced challenges and needs a patient owner who understands she may take time to settle into a new home. She can also find being left alone difficult.

The charity says she has been making encouraging progress with the support of its team but that the busy kennel environment is becoming increasingly hard for her.

Nala is looking for an adult-only home where she can be the only pet. As her interactions with children and unfamiliar animals are unknown, staff believe this will give her the best opportunity to settle and flourish.

Sammy Thompson from St Francis Dogs Home said: "We know she has so much love to give. She is a firm favourite amongst our team here and we just want to see her happy.

"She needs a calm, understanding and loving home where she can continue to grow her confidence. Watching her finally relax and enjoy the life she deserves outside of kennels would mean everything to us."
