Newquay groups reminded to apply for community grants

Newquay Town Council is reminding local groups and organisations to apply for funding through its 2026 Community Grant Scheme.

The scheme supports not-for-profit organisations delivering projects and activities across Newquay.

The council said the grants aim to improve the quality of life of residents and visitors, strengthen community connections and make a positive difference locally.

Funding is available for projects covering a range of areas, including local events, community pride and safety campaigns.

Applications can also be made for initiatives encouraging young people to engage with local issues, history or culture outside the school curriculum.

Sports and environmental projects are eligible, along with schemes promoting Newquay to wider audiences and supporting tourism and the local economy.

The council said applications should support initiatives aligned with its priorities and contribute to Newquay’s wellbeing and continued development.

Groups can apply for between £25 and £250 and should first contact their local town councillor to discuss their project and its potential eligibility.

Applicants must then read the fund’s policy and frequently asked questions before completing an application form. They will subsequently receive an email inviting them to upload supporting documents.
