CCTV footage is being reviewed after a "significant amount of vandalism" at a Newquay play park.
Newquay Town Council says the damage at Doorstep Green Play Park in Treloggan has been reported to the police. Photos shared with Radio Newquay show scorch marks on the play surface, with the council confirming the damage was caused by a fire.
It is believed the incident took place at around 8pm on Saturday, 26th April.
Newquay Town Council is appealing for anyone with information to come forward. A spokesperson said:
"There has been a significant amount of vandalism at Doorstep Green Play Park at Treloggan.
We believe it took place around 8pm on Saturday 26th April. The police have been informed and our CCTV footage is now being reviewed.
