The Trenance Valley is set to embrace the Halloween spirit with the launch of the first of three new light displays later this month.
The inaugural light show, supported by a grant from Experience Newquay, will take place during a special "non-scary" Halloween afternoon at Trenance Cottages on Sunday, 27th October.
Packed full of activities, the event will offer the opportunity to create a Halloween craft, as well as access to various indoor games. Guests can also participate in the ‘Where’s Dracula Hiding?’ raffle board for 50p a go and enjoy pumpkin races down the stream every half hour.
As dusk approaches (around 4:30 PM), the new light display will illuminate the historic cottages with spooky colours, creating an enchanting atmosphere for visitors.
The light display will be available for viewing from 27th to 31st October, thanks to funding from Experience Newquay. This infrastructure grant was awarded to the Garden Café and Trenance Cottages, paving the way for three 'Trees and Tales' events at the cottages. The light displays are designed to enhance the celebrations for Halloween, Christmas, and St Piran's Week, and will be accompanied by various events and performances.
Experience Newquay, the organisation behind the grant, aims to promote sustainable year-round tourism while connecting local Cornish communities and visitors with Newquay’s unique identity through cultural activities and programming.
