A horse riding centre near Newquay is using social media to make riding lessons more accessible for people who might otherwise miss out.
Barnwell Equestrian Centre is funding free riding sessions using money raised through TikTok, with lessons aimed at low-income earners, people with special educational needs, and those experiencing mental health challenges. More than fourteen free sessions have already been delivered, supported by the centre’s growing online following the page @ChloeinCornwall now amassing around 25,000 followers on TikTok.
People interested in applying can do so via the centre’s website.
