New images released as search continues for missing woman last seen in Cornwall

Police investigating the disappearance of Holly Collinson have released new information including an appeal over belongings left at a Newquay caravan site.

Holly, 29, was reported missing by her family in Leicestershire on Friday 10 April. Officers say that before she was reported missing, she had travelled to Cornwall, specifically the Newquay area.

She is described as white, of slim build, around 5ft 7in tall and with blue eyes. Police say she previously had long black, pink, red or plum coloured dreadlocks.

On one of the last reported sightings, Holly was wearing a black coat, black trousers and a short sleeved black Adidas shirt. Her hair was described as dark with the upper half plum to red in colour and darker underneath, falling below shoulder length. Police say she may now also be using a crutch to assist her.

Holly was last seen leaving the Royal Cornwall Hospital at 10.10am on 31 March.

She was wearing a hospital gown, a green jumper and trainers with black and yellow bags underneath used as socks. Officers say she had a white plastic “patient property” bag with her and a black Takamine electric acoustic guitar, which was not in a case. The guitar was missing its battery pack, leaving a four-inch hole on the top side.

Police believe Holly may have changed her clothing after leaving hospital. Detectives say they believe she later boarded a bus carrying her guitar and crutch, while still wearing the bags underneath her shoes and carrying a clear bag of belongings.

Officers say Holly is known to travel using Cornwall’s bus network.

The white bag with black logo states ‘patient property’ was being carried. The yellow and black bags were believed to be used as socks.

Truro sighting

The day before attending hospital, Holly was seen on CCTV in Tregolls Road in Truro. Police say she was wearing large shaped sunglasses, blue jeans and a large black cap, while carrying a black guitar and a light-coloured canvas style handbag.

Detectives say Holly had been using a Samsung A52 mobile phone and an iPhone, although the colour and exact model of the iPhone are not known.

Appeal for help in tracing belongings left at a Newquay caravan site

The belongings have been removed and we are seeking information regarding the whereabouts of them.

Detective Sergeant David Squire said: “Since our first appeal we have received a number of calls from the public with information and possible sightings of Holly, but these have so far not led us to locate her.

“We are working tirelessly to try and find Holly, and although these new images may seem like small clues, we are hoping they may prove significant in some way.

“On behalf of the investigation team I would like to thank everyone who has contacted us, or shared our appeals.

“We are continuing to ask the public to report anything they may have noticed that didn’t seemed right at the time, or has stuck in their minds since.

“We know Holly was in the Truro area on Monday 30 March and Tuesday 31 March but it is possible she may have travelled further afield since.

“We have also heard from a number of members of the public who have suggested that an e-fit issued in relation to a body found in Camborne earlier this month could be Holly. We can confirm that this isn’t the case but would like to thank those who got in touch.

“Anybody with any information – no matter how small you think it may be – is asked to call us on 999 quoting log 733 of Friday 1 May.”
