Footballer Katie Robinson, who grew up in Newquay, hopes for a return to to the England squad.
The 21-year-old signed a two-year deal with Aston Villa last summer, and in 2023 she was the youngest player selected for the FIFA Women’s World Cup, aged just 20.
Speaking to Radio Newquay during a visit back to her hometown, the former Peppermints and Godolphin player said she’s staying focused on what’s ahead as she continues her career at the top level.
She also praised Newquay AFC Ladies for their promotion to the Premier Division of the Cornwall Ladies League – a major achievement in the side’s first season.
