Four people have been taken to hospital after a serious crash on the outskirts of Newquay.
Devon and Cornwall Police said the collision happened at about 10:55pm on Tuesday on the A3075 at Trevemper.
Police, Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service and Cornwall Air Ambulance attended the scene. The crash involved a Vauxhall Meriva and an Audi A4.
All four occupants were taken to hospital with serious injuries, where they remain.
A police spokesperson said: “Officers from the Roads Policing Team wish to thank the public for their patience whilst the road was closed for enquiries to be carried out.
“Anyone with any relevant information or dashcam footage which may assist the investigation is asked to contact police via our website or by calling 101 quoting log 860 of 24 February.”
Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service said two appliances from Newquay and the rescue tender from Tolvaddon attended.
A spokesperson said: “It involved a four vehicle road traffic collision with four casualties in total, the crew used crash rescue equipment to release the casualties.”
