Boardmasters organisers say they are enhancing security and stewarding at next year's event.
In an online statement to festivalgoers, they say they’ve been working hard behind the scenes, listening to feedback.
At this summer's music event at Watergate Bay, several people were taken to hospital following a crowd surge.
Organisers state that in 2025 there will be a 20% increase in security deployed to crowd and behaviour management positions.
Plans include more Wi-Fi hotspots in the arena and campsites, along with designated phone lines for free outgoing calls.
They also vow to add 25 entry search lanes and conduct more thorough searches without extending wait times.
Camping areas will see double the number of elevated watchtowers with 24-hour security and a 50% increase in high-visibility patrols, day and night.
Various transport improvements have also been unveiled, including an increase in long-distance bus routes from 85 to 119.
Details of the headline acts for 2025 are yet to be announced. The surf and music festival returns from 6–10 August.
