A veterans' community project near St Columb Major is preparing to open its gates to the public as part of a special Armed Forces Day celebration.
Kamp Menalhyl, which is run by veterans and volunteers, will host a free event on Saturday 27 June from 2pm until 6pm.
The project was born from a conversation between local veterans in a pub and has since grown into a two-acre community site aimed at supporting veterans, their families and the wider community.
Situated in a valley near St Columb Major, the site is centred around a former farmer's killing house which volunteers have transformed into a base known as the Quartermaster's Store. The team spent months clearing overgrown vegetation and renovating the building, which now includes an outdoor kitchen and facilities for community groups.
The site hosts a range of activities, educational visits and camping opportunities, while volunteers also work to protect and enhance local wildlife.
Running through the site is the River Menalhyl, which eventually reaches the sea at Mawgan Porth.
While veterans remain at the heart of the project, organisers say the site is increasingly being used to support community activities and mental health initiatives.

The Armed Forces Day event will feature axe throwing, a shooting range, campfire food, a bar, music and children's activities.
There will also be limited overnight camping available on the Saturday night.
The event is free to attend and open to everyone.
Radio Newquay's Mark Chapple recently visited the site and spoke to military veteran Daz Keelor about the project, its history and the role it plays in supporting veterans and the local community.
