Dianne Griffiths has created an acrylic painting of her drive home, which takes in Trevemper Road and the Texaco garage - and the night sky above it.
Dianne said: "My painting ‘Driving Home’ encapsulates something of the normal everyday alongside the magnificent starry sky, showing how an ordinary scene is beautiful if we look at it in the right way! The location is the Texaco garage just off The Gannel as you drive into Newquay, so it really is also my drive home!
"As one of the top 50 finalists in The British Art Prize, I am eligible for an award called the ‘People’s Choice Award’ - to help my painting win this award please vote!"
‘Driving Home’ will be on display at Gallery@OXO, London from the 4th-8th December 2024.
