A spokesperson from Newquay Town Council say the incident has been reported to the police and CCTV footage is being reviewed to help with the investigation.
They added: "This kind of behaviour is deeply disappointing and undermines the hard work that goes into maintaining our public facilities. If you witnessed anything or have any information, please contact the police or reach out to us directly."
