Payments will be taken via a contactless system, with a coin unit available on the accessibe toilet.
Newquay Town Council say they anticipate the toilets will remain open throughout the installation period. A spokesperson added: "This decision has been made in response to increasing maintenance costs across the Public Conveniences estate, largely due to misuse and vandalism.
"Introducing the charge also helps deter inappropriate behaviour, enabling us to maintain safe, clean and well‑managed facilities for all users."
