Free community fete to be held in Treloggan

A free community fete featuring local stalls, family activities and live music is being held in Treloggan this September.

Newquay Town Council is bringing its Newquay Sessions: Community Sessions programme to the area, with the event aimed at bringing residents together and connecting them with local groups and services.

Visitors will be able to browse market stalls and buy food and drink from local traders, while a number of activities are planned for children and families.

Imagine Outdoors will run a free Imagination Station, alongside free children's crafts and face painting, which will carry a charge.

There will also be live acoustic music from Joe Hurworth, while residents will have an opportunity to meet local councillors.

The Community Sessions programme has been set up by the town council to bring activities into different parts of Newquay and create opportunities for people to meet within their own communities.

'Bringing people together'

Mayor of Newquay, Cllr Drew Creek, said: "It's important that we create opportunities to reach people right across Newquay and bring activities into the communities where people live.

"The Treloggan September Fete is about bringing people together, supporting local traders and organisations, and giving families the chance to enjoy a fun and welcoming event close to home."

He said he hoped people from Treloggan and elsewhere in Newquay would attend and get involved.

The fete is free to attend and open to everyone.
