A person has been rescued by lifeboat after getting into difficulty at Crantock.
The RNLI said volunteers were paged at 5.25pm on Tuesday (27 October).
Newquay's Atlantic 85 B Class lifeboat was already at sea undertaking a scheduled training exercise and immediately responded.
The charity's D Class inshore lifeboat was also launched from Trevean Way, Newquay into the Gannel to assist.
Working alongside Newquay Coastguard Rescue Team, the lifeboat crews located the person, who was reported to be in good spirits.
They were safely recovered aboard the D Class lifeboat and returned to shore, where they were checked over.
The RNLI thanked the Coastguard team for its assistance and reminded people that anyone who sees someone in difficulty along the coast should dial 999 and ask for the Coastguard.
