The Co-op in St Columb Major has now reopened after being targeted in a burglary early this morning.
Police were called around 1.35am, following reports of a burglary at the premises in Fore Street.
In a statement, Devon and Cornwall Police said:
"Entry was forced, and property was stolen. Two suspects left the scene.
Enquiries remain ongoing."
Officers are appealing for information or relevant CCTV footage. Anyone with information is urged to contact 101 or visit the force's website, quoting reference 50250017185.
It follows a series of break-ins at shops and businesses in the area although police have not officially linked these incidents.
On Sunday, 4 January, officers responded to a break-in at the Spar shop in Quintrell Downs shortly after 3am. An attempted break-in was also reported at the Spar on Tower Road, Newquay, overnight between Saturday, 4 January, and Sunday, 5 January. Entry was not gained, and nothing was stolen. The around 5am on Monday, 6 January, officers were called to a commercial burglary at the Westways filling station on the outskirts of St Columb Major.
