Some of the world's leading adaptive surfers will compete in Newquay this weekend as the English Para Surfing Open returns to Fistral Beach.
Surfing England has confirmed the 2026 event will go ahead, with athletes from the UK, Portugal, France and Saudi Arabia among those taking part.
The competition will feature seven International Surfing Association (ISA) classified divisions alongside four Open divisions, showcasing both elite para surfers and emerging talent.
Organisers say the event is expected to be one of the highlights of the surfing calendar, bringing international competitors to one of Britain's best-known surfing beaches.
Current forecasts suggest competitors will be greeted by favourable conditions, with light winds and clean two to three-foot waves expected on Saturday.
Surfing England says the conditions should provide an ideal setting for competition across all divisions.
Spectators are being encouraged to head to Fistral Beach to watch the action, with organisers describing adaptive surfing as one of the sport's most exciting disciplines.
Competition gets underway on Saturday, with heat schedules and event updates to be published on Surfing England's social media channels.
