A major Newquay landmark will be illuminated in pink and blue tonight as part of a national event remembering babies who have died during pregnancy, at birth or in infancy.
Newquay Lions will light up the historic Huer's Hut between 7pm and 11pm to mark the final day of Baby Loss Awareness Week.
The event will see buildings and landmarks across the country illuminated in pink and blue to show support for families affected by pregnancy and baby loss.
Baby Loss Awareness Week takes place each year from 9 to 15 October, bringing together bereaved families, charities and communities to remember babies who have died and raise awareness of the support available.
The week concludes with the annual Wave of Light at 7pm on 15 October, when people around the world are invited to light a candle in memory of babies who have died.
Newquay Lions say the illumination of the Huer's Hut is an opportunity for the community to pause and reflect on the impact of baby loss, which affects many families.
The group hopes the display will encourage people to spare a thought for those who have experienced the loss of a baby, including families who may still be struggling with grief.
The Huer's Hut will be illuminated from 7pm until 11pm tonight (Thursday), joining landmarks across the UK in this annual act of remembrance.
