Desperate appeal to find homes for four puppies in Cornwall

The puppies cannot be shown due to an ongoing legal case

The RSPCA in Cornwall is urgently appealing for foster homes for four nine-week-old puppies still waiting for care.

Six puppies were taken in by the charity, with two already placed in foster homes. However, four remain in kennels as staff continue efforts to find them a safe place to stay.

The puppies are believed to be Presa Canario, a breed that will grow into large dogs, and require temporary homes while an ongoing legal case is resolved.

An RSPCA Cornwall spokesperson said the situation is particularly challenging as they are unable to share photos due to legal restrictions, making it harder for the puppies to be noticed.

They added that the animals have already been through a difficult start in life and that kennels can be a daunting environment at such a young age.

The charity says it will provide everything needed for fostering, with homes offering a safe and caring environment while longer-term arrangements are made.

Anyone interested in fostering is being encouraged to apply via the RSPCA Cornwall website.

The charity is entirely funded by donations in Cornwall and fundraises locally through events like this weekend's Paws on the Beach at Watergate Bay. Find out more here.
