Newton Faulkner has released his eighth studio album - and he spoke to Radio Newquay about his new music, raising money for charity - and his love for Cornwall

He's described the album 'Octopus' as his most authentic and adventurous to date...

There are funk, soul, Latin and R&B influences right across the album - even teaming up with the Ukrainian sister duo 'Bloom Twins'  - but does he have a favourite track?

Newton will be performing at the Kernowfornia festival later this week. He told us the love he has for Cornwall - often referring to the county as his 'spiritual home'...

A limited edition walled CD has been made - hand stamped by Newton - which raises money for the Teenage Cancer Trust, a charity he is patron of. Newton tells us more...
