Newquay is set to host a major international surf lifesaving competition as the prestigious World Ocean Series comes to the UK for the first time.
The event, organised by Surf Life Saving GB, will take place at Fistral Beach on 19th July, bringing together elite surf lifesavers from around the world for a day of thrilling competition.
Spectators can expect a dynamic mix of events including ocean swimming, jet ski challenges, and rescue board races, as the world’s top surf lifesaving athletes go head-to-head in a test of speed, skill, and endurance.
It promises to be an unmissable showcase of international talent - and a celebration of surf lifesaving sport on one of Cornwall’s most iconic beaches.
