Monique Collins, the manager of Newquay charity DISC, is calling for this year's Christmas appeal to be bigger and better than ever as she prepares to step down after seven years in the role to prioritise her health.
Monique has expressed concern over the limited availability of funding and dwindling donations, making it increasingly difficult for the charity to meet rising demand, but she remains committed to making this Christmas special for families and people in need. The DISC Toy Appeal is once again underway, collecting toys and games for children, with a particular need for gifts for those aged 10 and over. Donations can be dropped off during DISC sessions at the Sandy Lodge Hotel.
