Members of Newquay Boardriders will be competing in the English Interclub Surfing Championships this weekend.
The event has been called ON for Saturday and Sunday at Porthtowan Beach and is hosted by St Agnes Surf Lifesaving Club.
Surf clubs from across England will be sending their Open, Women’s, and Junior shortboard teams to compete for the Interclubs title. The competition will feature multiple heats, with points from each contributing to the overall team standings. Thirteen teams are confirmed to take part.
Surfers Against Sewage are organising a beach clean on Saturday at 11am to coincide with the competition.
Live scoring will be available via LiveHeats, though organisers warn that paper scores may be used if mobile coverage is limited. The heat draw and schedule have been published in advance, but are subject to change depending on conditions.
