A popular visitor attraction near Newquay is celebrating after scooping four top honours at a family magazine awards ceremony.
Lappa Valley was named Overall Winner at the 2025 Primary Times Cornwall Star Awards, alongside awards for Best Recommendation to Friends and Family, Best Value for Money and Best Family Full Day Out.
The attraction, based at St Newlyn East, was recognised following a public vote, with families across Cornwall invited by Primary Times to celebrate their favourite family-friendly places and “give them a vote of thanks”.
Keith Southwell, from Lappa Valley, said:
"We are absolutely thrilled to receive these awards, and particularly proud that they were voted for by families from across Cornwall.
“Creating magical days out for families is at the heart of everything we do, so to be recognised in this way is incredibly special. I’d like to thank our fantastic team for their dedication and everyone who took the time to vote for us - your support means the world."
From its scenic setting and heritage railway journeys to its wide range of family-friendly activities, Lappa Valley says it remains focused on delivering value and memorable experiences for visitors of all ages.
The attraction has received multiple tourism awards in recent years, including being named Railway of the Year at the Heritage Railway Association Awards 2025, as well as several Large Visitor Attraction awards at the Cornwall Tourism Awards. It has also been ranked among the top 10% of things to do worldwide in the Tripadvisor Travellers’ Choice Awards.
