The head of Cornwall Air Ambulance has thanked the people of Newquay and beyond for backing the charity’s campaign to bring a second helicopter to Cornwall.
The ‘Heli 2’ appeal is now in its final days, with just £11,000 left to raise.
The second, identical aircraft is already undergoing its medical fit and is expected to enter service this summer - boosting the charity’s resilience and ability to respond to emergencies across Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.
The appeal set out to raise £2.85million and is almost near the finish line.
