An application has been submitted that could pave the way for a new drive-thru coffee outlet next to Trekenning Roundabout at St Columb Major.
The outline planning application to Cornwall Council seeks approval for the change of use of land at Trekenning Tourist Park.
The proposal, submitted on behalf of MBFL Limited, includes details of the site layout and parking on land currently used by park visitors to exercise and walk their dogs.
If approved, "the drive-thru coffee and snack establishment" would offer both seated and drive-thru services along the main road into Newquay. The application highlights that the outlet would "bring a positive meeting space for the local community and passing trade" and create year-round employment opportunities for local residents in hospitality and barista roles.
The site is located opposite the roundabout, on the western side of the A39, near the St Columb Major Business Park.
