Newquay Town Council says it is “disappointed” after a series of vandalism incidents at public facilities across the town.
The council reported further damage over the weekend at public toilets and the skatepark, with repairs now required.
Recent incidents include damage to the Killacourt toilets as Newquay enters the busy Easter period. At the skatepark, an electricity box has been damaged and a tap stolen.
The council said the facilities are provided for the whole community, and that vandalism diverts time and resources away from improvements.
In a statement, the council said: “These facilities are here for everyone to use and enjoy, and damage means we have to divert time and resources away from other improvements that benefit the community.”
It follows a number of previous incidents, including at the railway station toilets.
The council is urging people to help look after shared spaces and to report any concerns so facilities can remain safe, clean and open.
