A fundraising appeal has been launched to support Newquay’s Trenance Cottages, marking ten years since their reopening as a heritage centre.
The Grade II-listed cottages were opened in 2015 following a £500,000 renovation and now serve as a community space featuring a museum, café, shop, and function room for weddings and celebrations.
The site hosts a variety of events, including Summer Fayres, Halloween celebrations, the Trees and Tales Christmas Switch-On with a Lantern Parade, Santa’s Grotto, lectures on local crafts, and exhibitions. Many of these events are free to attend, and all are organised and run entirely by volunteers.
To help sustain the cottages and maintain the heritage building, the managing committee is seeking to raise £5,000.
