A woman has died following a road traffic collision near Newquay, police have confirmed.
Devon and Cornwall Police said the incident happened on the A392 at White Acres at about 9:50am on Wednesday 26 November. The force has now confirmed the she was airlifted to hospital with serious injuries and died on Thursday.
In a statement, the force said:
“We are continuing to appeal for any witnesses to come forward following the collision on the A392 at White Acres. Emergency services were called at around 9.50am on Wednesday 26 November following a report of a collision involving a red Ford Fiesta and a yellow JCB tractor. As a result of the collision, a local woman in her 80s was airlifted to Derriford Hospital having suffered serious injuries. We were informed that she died on Thursday.”
The road reopened at about 2:15pm on Wednesday after collision investigators examined the scene and the vehicles were recovered.
