Newquay AFC strengthened their grip on the South West Peninsula Premier West title with a convincing 3-0 victory over closest rivals Liskeard Athletic at Mount Wise.
In front of a bumper crowd, Louis Price struck twice, either side of a goal from Tom Shepherd, as the Peppermints moved nine points clear at the top of the table.

In the St Piran League Premier Division East, St Mawgan secured a 3-0 win at Polperro to keep the pressure on the top three. Meanwhile, St Newlyn East remain top of Division One East after an emphatic 6-1 victory at Lifton.

Newquay’s first hockey team produced a dominant display, defeating Devonport Services 7-3 at home to move up to third in Division One South. The second team drew 4-4 with visiting Bude.
Newquay Hornets duo shine for Cornwall U20s
Newquay Hornets players Rhys Bowery and Lowen Mears-Ollerenshaw had the honour of representing Cornwall Under-20s in their midweek victory over Camborne School of Mines. The young Cornish side claimed a 45-15 win at Hayle, with both players playing key roles. They will hope to be involved again when Cornwall take on a Cornwall Clubs XV at St Austell on February 26.
