Police have revealed they are stepping up patrols following reports of "thefts and interference" with vehicles in Newquay.
They are appealing for witnesses and anyone with information to come forward.
Officers are reminding residents to ensure their vehicle is secure at all times and cleared of items after several incidents of break-ins.
In the Devon and Cornwall Police Neighbourhood Alert sent to residents, they said: "We aim to increase patrols where possible.
"Please phone 999 if any persons are seen acting suspiciously."
Anyone with information is asked to contact police via the Devon and Cornwall Police website or by calling 101, quoting 50240007197.
