Treviglas Sixth Form students celebrate A-level success

Students, staff, and families gathered at Treviglas Academy Sixth Form today to mark A-level results day.

The school says every student who applied to continue their studies has secured a place in further education, with most achieving the grades needed for their first-choice university.

Head of Sixth Form, Joanne Handford, said: “We are incredibly proud of each and every student. Their achievements are the result of not just academic effort, but also the dedication, guidance, and encouragement from our staff, families, and wider school community.”

Among those celebrating were:

  • Tom Gilbert – A Art, C History, C Geography – University of Reading, Architecture

  • Sophia Frith – B Drama, B History, C English – University of Exeter, Sociology

  • Noah Eggleton – Distinction* Creative Media, B English, C Geography – University of Wales, Film and TV

  • Eric Marques – A Portuguese, Distinction Business, History, Geography – University of Exeter, Business and Law

  • Taz Beckman – A Criminology, Distinction Business, Distinction Health and Social Care – Falmouth University, Business and Marketing

  • Fin Blundell – Distinction Sport, Merit Business, Merit Creative Media – University of Plymouth, Journalism (Sport)

  • Lowenna – B Art, Distinction Business, Geography – Cardiff Metropolitan University, Graphic Design

Ms Handford said the sixth form’s smaller setting helped staff offer tailored guidance to students, adding: “We know their ambitions, and we work alongside them to make those ambitions a reality.”

Treviglas Academy is rated “Good” by Ofsted across all areas, including its sixth form provision. Inspectors said students learn effectively, feel well supported, and have access to a range of enrichment opportunities.
