RSPCA Cornwall is calling for foster carers to help provide temporary homes for cats and dogs in need.
Based at The Venton Centre in St. Columb Major, the independently funded branch rescues and rehomes animals that have faced abandonment, abuse, or other challenges.
To encourage more people to consider fostering, RSPCA Cornwall is hosting a Fostering Findout event this Saturday. Sessions will take place at 10am and 2pm, where specialist staff will answer questions and provide insights into the fostering process. Attendees may even get to meet some of the animals looking for care.
A spokesperson said: "We all get real pleasure when a resident finds a loving forever home, but fostering is equally important, giving animals the time and care they need to heal and learn to trust again."
Fostering can be short-, medium-, or long-term and offers vulnerable animals a chance to thrive in a home environment.
