Newquay is set to be invaded by hordes of zombies this weekend – but fear not, they're not real!
The annual Spooky Newquay Zombie Crawl, organised by the Newquay Business Improvement District (BID), will see the town centre transformed with residents and visitors dressing up for the massive Halloween celebration.
Taking place on Saturday, the day will feature loads of family-friendly activities such as face painting, zombie outfit making, pop-up dance classes, and circus skills. These free workshops will take place throughout the town, building up to the main event - the Zombie Crawl, which is expected to attract large crowds to the town centre. The parade will leave Sydney Road (next to Sainsbury's) at 3pm.
Local businesses will also participate by decorating their shop fronts for Halloween. "The scarier the better" is the theme, with a prize going to the best-dressed storefront.
This year’s event is expected to be bigger than ever, thanks to additional creative elements funded by Experience Newquay and Cornwall Council’s Good Growth Fund. The event aims to provide a fun, family-oriented atmosphere while boosting local businesses and promoting Newquay as a year-round destination.
