Police step up patrols for Boardmasters 2025

Officers will be patrolling the festival site, Newquay town centre, local beaches, and surrounding roads as part of the force’s safety and crime prevention plans.

Superintendent Ben Asprey, who is overseeing the policing operation, said the force is working closely with event organisers and partner agencies to ensure a safe and enjoyable event. Dedicated resources have been allocated to avoid any disruption to routine policing across the region during the busy summer period.

As part of preparations, Project Servator officers and police dogs have already been active in the area. Festivalgoers are being encouraged to look out for one another, stay hydrated, and be respectful of local communities when travelling to and from the site.

Police have issued a series of crime prevention tips, including not leaving valuables in tents, keeping phones and bank cards on your person, and reporting any suspicious behaviour to stewards or officers. Festival welfare tents in the main arena and campsites will remain open 24 hours a day.

Attendees are also reminded that consent must be freely given and cannot be given under coercion or impairment. Further information is available at dc.police.uk/consent.

For non-emergencies, the police can be contacted via 101 or online. In an emergency, always call 999.
