It was reported at around 10 o'clock last night (Sunday, June 15th) three males entered a property, assaulted and threatened people inside before leaving the scene with a quantity of cash and jewellery.
Officers say nobody was seriously injured during the incident and a scene guard was put in place.
A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police said: "The suspects were described as white males and all three wore face coverings.
"Members of the public are likely to see a heightened police presence as enquiries to locate the suspects are ongoing.
