Newquay’s famous Land Train is making its final journey around the town today.
Father and son team Mark and Harrison Haddrell have operated the train for the past eight seasons, but it’s been part of Newquay life for well over two decades.
The train, which carries up to 50 passengers, has become a familiar sight in the summer months and a regular at town events, from Christmas Eve with the Rotary Club to the Zombie Crawl.

Mark is now retiring, and the train has been bought by a new owner in Llandudno, North Wales.
All week, tourists have been jumping on board for the last time, with the father and son pair noting that many of the new faces this week are residents hoping to catch a ride before the train leaves the town for good.

The final trip on the circuit around the town will leave Fore Street at 4pm today.
